Phoebe is the first daughter out of Moonlight for us to keep, and also the first daughter out of Cruz as well.  She is sweet and gentle in personality.  Her dam, Moonlight, has not as high of a peak of production, but stays steady throughout her lactation.  And her sire, Cruz, comes from some really high production lines.  I am hoping that the mix of the two will give me a higher producing doe that has an extended lactation.  Phoebe freshened this year with a very nice FF udder.  On her first 12 hr fill she only gave me 1.3 lbs (I like to see 2 on an FF) of milk; however, I ran out of alfalfa so their feed has been off and all of my does have been producing about 1 lb less than normal.  I expect her to increase after she gets on better feed.
